Nokia Lumia 1020 running Android could be yours for $69

If you don’t know what a KIRF is, then all you have to do is go to a random market in China where you’ll find countless iPhones and many more knock-offs. The latest phone to get the KIRF treatment is the Lumia 1020, which now runs on Android.

It’s not quite the Lumia 1020 you’ve come to know and love though, with a 41 megaplxel camera replacing the much-loved 41 megapixel snapper on the real Lumia 1020. Oh and those 41 megaplxels actually account for just 2 megapixels — sorry.

You also won’t get impressive internals, with just an ARM Cortex A5 1GHz processor powering the Android OS.

One thing to note is that this is an Android OS you’ve not ever seen before. whilst it is still Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, it’s a heavily skinned version with the Windows Phone UI seemingly replicated for your $69 phone.

You do get a dual SIM card slot, as well as a removable back cover for that price, but you’ll miss LTE and even 3G.

It might not be the Android Nokia phone you were looking for, but you might want to try Newkia for that.
