If you have a Samsung Galaxy device, then you’ll be pleased to learn that your phone may get the Android 4.3 update next month — but only if you own the flagship.

At Samsung’s Unpacked Event at IFA it announced that the Galaxy S III and Galaxy S4 would both receive the latest version of the Jelly Bean operating system, with the roll out set to begin in October.

Both devices will also receive an update to ensure it works with the new Galaxy Gear smartwatch that the company unveiled earlier this week.

The Galaxy S III is set to receive a whole host of new TouchWiz features – some of which were first introduced with the Galaxy S4 earlier this year.

As for the Galaxy S4, it’s not known what new features it will be receiving as part of the update, but it’s always nice to be on the latest version — and not be jealous of those with Nexus-branded devices.

As with all updates, you may have to wait for your carrier to approve it before it finally reaches your handset — so you may have to wait a little while longer than October anyway.
