Pornhub will launch a channel that is dedicated entirely to virtual reality pornography.
Pornhub will be partnering with virtual porn providers BaDoinkVR to show the VR content to the 60 million daily users of Pornhub. How much will it cost you? Absolutely free to be immersed in 180 degree and 360 degree of VR porn scenes. The content can still be viewed on desktop, but is obviously optimised for VR headsets. VR seems to be the way the tech industry is heading, well Pornhub definitely thinks so.
“Virtual reality is the next phase in the constantly metamorphosing world of adult entertainment, and will provide users with a mesmeric experience unlike anything they’ve seen before,” said Pornhub VP Corey Price in a statement. “Now, our users are not only able to view our content, but be protagonists in the experience and interact with their favourite porn stars.”
With the announcement Pornhub released a cringe worthy video that’ll make your insides twist into a small ball. It shows how serious the porno vendors think VR will be in future. Pornhub are of course one of the biggest websites in the world, at the time of writing Pornhub ranks at 65 in the Alexa ratings. This will no doubt influence others to look into VR as a way to explore new ways to entertain, it could change the way the tech industry works as a whole.
VR in Pornhub will no doubt be a success as immersion into something as desirable as sex, easily sells it self.
