Surface Pro price drops by another $100

More Surface Pro price drops are inbound, albeit in a temporary fashion. Microsoft has shaved another $100 off of its first generation tablet, taking the starting point down to $699. The offer expires on December 31st.

The Surface Pro 2 model launched on Tuesday of this week, so this original Surface Pro price drop comes as no surprise. It was only in August that we last saw a $100 drop. Sorry if you bought one in the last two months, then. Right now it’s looking like this drop will apply to the US and Canada, with no word of a drop over here in the UK or anywhere else.

Don’t sit back on the offer if you’re interested though – it could be that the device won’t be restocked after this.

Meanwhile, the Pro 2 is priced at $899, so there isn’t actually too much of a difference between the two models. Well, in terms of pricing at least.
