President Obama joins Facebook finally

President Barack Obama has finally joined the masses by creating his own Facebook account.

You’d think he would have set one up during his 7 year-stint as president of the United States of America. You’d also be forgiven for thinking he already had one as there are several pages set up on his behalf by The White House and campaigners. This new page is directly to President Obama himself.

To mark the occasion President Obama posted a video of him strolling through his garden/backyard/national park whilst filling everyone in about the critters that he sees on the daily basis. The POTUS then starts talking about climate change and how we should all get involved in the conversation of the planet to ensure it’s security for future generations to come.

Mark Zuckerberg had the most popular reply to the post at the time of writing:

“Welcome, President Obama! I’m excited that you’ve joined our community, and I look forward to seeing how you engage with people here on Facebook.”
