OnePlus 2 gets a hefty price cut… And it’s permanent

OnePlus has just dropped a pretty significant bombshell today, reducing the price of the 64GB OnePlus 2 by £50 in the UK market.

This means that the OnePlus 2 now retails for only £250, putting it in the same league as lower mid-range handsets when price is taken into account. The self proclaimed ‘flagship killer’ has seen quite a few changes in the past few weeks, with the 16GB getting discounted only a few weeks ago.

Interestingly, OnePlus has decided to also apply the discount for people who also purchased the handset within the last 15 days. This is a nice gesture for those who snapped one up and were understandably miffed at the reduction.

OnePlus attributes the price cut to cheaper and easier manufacturing, meaning they can afford to squeeze a few extra pounds from retail. While it’s true that the OnePlus 2 has never enjoyed quite the success that the original had, it’s now impossible to dispute value for money when you consider how much phone you’re getting for so little cash.
