Netflix original shows will all be available in 4K

This CES has been all about 4K. The likes of Samsung LG and Sony have all made that clear. In fact, the latter even had Netflix CEO Reed Hasting on its press conference stage last night to confirm some news about Netflix original shows.

As Sony partnered with the streaming service to promote its new 4K TVs, Hastings revealed to the crowd that all Netflix original shows will be available in 4K from here on out.

That includes the likes of House of Cards season 2 which hits next month (yes!). Hastings also promised that Netflix 4K is being built to work on lower bandwidth connections. It should even work at bitrates under 15 Mbps.

Like it or not, 4K is going to be a huge push from just about every tech company going forward.
