LG and Google seem to be the best of friends, with the two collaborating on the popular Nexus 5 smartphone. Now they’re working together again, though this time its for the LG G Pad 8.3. Google has announced that it will be selling a Google Play Edition of the tablet.

The LG G Pad 8.3 isn’t just an 8.3-inch device, though. The number also refers to the 8.3mm thickness. It runs the lovely new Android 4.4 OS with the screen’s resolution at 1920 x 1200. Powering the thing is a 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 chipset clocked at 2GB RAM. 16GB storage space is also available, and it comes with front and rear facing cameras as well as a 4600 mAh battery.

It’s available now for $349, though it’s not for purchase in the UK right now, sadly.
