Windows Phone beating iOS€¦ in Italy

If you were to claim that Windows Phone was more popular than iOS we’d spit our coffee all over you. But if we were in Italy right now, we’d be wrong to do so.

Microsoft’s OS has reportedly overtaken Apple’s in the country. So says research firm Kantar. Apparently Windows Phone holds a 13.7 percent market share in the region while iOS trails behind at 10.2 percent. Elsewhere, WP now holds 11.4 percent share in the UK and 8.5 percent in Germany.

The OS underdog is certainly on the rise then, though competition this Christmas time will mean it will have a fight on its hands to keep up. What does the next quarter hold for Windows Phone?
