It was just over a week ago now that we first heard of a Vodafone-branded, 4G-enabled smartphone, Smart 4G, and now we’re hearing about it again, complete with a few more details.

Whilst we last saw the phone crop up in the US, this time the leak comes from Italy (via Twitter), where a flier for the rumoured device was snapped (below). As you can see, the device should come packing a 4.5-inch display, 8-megapixel camera, and Android’s Jelly Bean OS. There’s also mention of a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, but it’s not known what type just yet.

It should cost ‚¬5 per month on prepaid plans in Italy, or come free on a two-year contract. We’re still in the dark about other countries and if they could see a release, although our initial leak did suggest that the UK was indeed on the cards. If it’s positioned to be a low-cost contract model then the Smart 4G could well be beneficial for those that are yet to get in on the 4G goodness.
