The new refurbished range helps promote a circular economy and cut down on electronic waste

Vodafone has launched its new refurbished phone range and is the only UK major network to offer a two-year warranty on every pay-monthly refurbished phone.

Customers can choose from a selection of models here, and save up to £190 on devices such as the iPhone SE and Samsung S21.

Vodafone only offers refurbished handsets that are in ‘Great’ or ‘Pristine’ condition and each phone has had a 32-point visual and diagnostic check to ensure everything is fully functional, deep cleaned and data wiped.

Its mobile and fixed-line customers can access circular services like a digital platform with trade-in options, insurance and repair services.

Consumers and businesses can also give unused tech a second life through Vodafone’s Great British Tech Appeal; and its stores accept phones, tablets and accessories to be recycled.

Max Taylor, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone UK, said: “More people than ever are now considering refurbished devices so they can get a great value phone and be friendlier to the planet. With our market-leading two-year warranty, 32-point health check, and Vodafone EVO, the UK’s best smartphone plan, buying a refurbished phone from Vodafone gives customers peace of mind and flexibility.”

The launch follows research which showed 73 per cent of respondents would consider buying a refurbished phone to save money and 55pc said they would buy a refurbished phone for environmental reasons.

However, 49pc were concerned about a second hand phone’s battery life, 47pc were worried about the warranty, 36pc were worried about data security and 26pc were hesitant to use a device previously owned by someone else.

The range can be purchased as part of the Vodafone Together package which can save families up to £380 a year when they move their broadband and mobile plans to Vodafone.
