Camera details of an upcoming HTC device codename ‘Perfume’ have been leaked on social media website Twitter.

With Mobile World Congress fast approaching, it will be interesting to see what HTC brings to the event considering they’re not holding a press conference this year. Rumours point to an imminent device launch of some sort, though when exactly the company plans to reveal this is up for debate. Still, this hasn’t stopped people predicting that it could be a flagship device that follows on from the excellent yet poorly recieved HTC One M9.

Today, a Twitter account under the name ‘LlabTooFeR’ appears to have posted some specs on an as yet unannounced ‘HTC Perfume’ and the initial impression is quite promising. Focusing specifically on the camera module, the tweet details an UltraPixel rear sensor that uses the same 12.3 megapixel Sony IMX377 module found in the Nexus 6P. The front camera is apparently a Samsung s5k4e6; the same one found in the excellent S6.

Of course, image processing can still make or break a device, so this is only part of the battle… But if it turns out to be true, this could be a very capable shooter indeed.
