Have top-secret details on the iPhone 6 and Galaxy S5 accidentally been revealed?

Intimate details of the two most highly-anticipated phones of 2014 may have been accidentally been disclosed.

If a note sent from KDB Daewoo Securities to investors is to be believed, we now know the screen size, resolution and processor specs of Apple’s iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S5.

For Apple fans, the news only gets more interesting from here. If the leaked note is to be believed, Apple are in fact releasing  two new iPhones in either Q2 or Q3 of this year. One is will have a 4.7 or 4.8 inch display whilst the other will have a humongous 5.5 inch display (for comparison’s sake, the iPhone 5s’ screen is only 4 inches).

Could we be set for the first ever iPhablet? If so we can expect it to have a 2272 x 1280, 510ppi  resolution, whilst the iPhone six will be in the region of  1920 x 1080, 440ppi.

Whilst this is all highly conceivable, the information gets a little more questionable once we move on to the interior specs. Allegedly the devices will come with Apple’s  A8 64-bit processor as well as 2GB RAM. iOS 7.2 would be the operating system of choice. However, all of this conflicts with Apple’s usual strategy of bundling new products with a shiny new OS.

As for the Samsung Galaxy S5, we can look forward to a  5.2 or 5.25-inch WQHD AMOLED screen with the 2560 x 1440 display, to produce a mammoth 560ppi. Android’s latest OS, KitKat 4.4 will run on the device, powered by  either a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 805 CPU or 64-bit 2GHz octa-core Exynos chip.

The rear camera could well be Samsung’s mighty 16 mexapixel  snapper, coupled with a none-too-shabby 3.2 megapixel front-facing camera. Battery information clashes with specs previously reported, but not past the point of believability.

Whilst there is of course no way to verify a single one of these reported figures, it’s reasonable enough to think that a letter produced to investors might hold some truth to it. Either way, it should be just enough to keep smartphone fans champing at the bit until official sources reveal more.
