A new video game created by the brains behind Fallout 4 has been released.
Fallout Shelter, which is based on the Fallout franchise, has you create your own nuclear shelter or vault. As the vault’s overseer, you’re responsible for keeping your underground base and its residents in good nick.
The Fallout series is set in a post-apocalyptic world that’s been ravaged by a nuclear war. Fallout Shelter has a 2D art style based on Fallout’s Pip-Boy characters, with gameplay similar to the Sims. Residents in your vault can perform various activities and reproduce to create new residents. Different parts of your vault are designed to help your underground community flourish and grow.
Fallout Shelter is free to download on iOS. There are no paywall timers and it requires no internet connect to play.
Fallout Shelter follows the recent announcement of Fallout 4, the next installment in the Fallout series. The game will be released on November 4, but the game’s creators have kept quiet on any other further details. More information is expected to be announced at this year’s E3.
