Ryse, other Xbox exclusives have mysterious digital price increase

Normally after a game’s a few weeks old you can find it for a little bit cheaper. Well in the case of Ryse: Son of Rome and a few other Xbox One exclusives, they’re now more expensive.

Originally priced at £44.99, the cost of Crytek’s action title has risen to £49.99. The same goes for Dead Rising 3 and Forza Motorsport 5. Other Microsoft games remain untouched. Of course in stores right now you can find games like Ryse for anywhere between £40 and £50.

The company itself hasn’t issued a statement as to why these increases have occurred or if they’ll stick. Digital game prices are a hot topic in the industry at the moment, after third party publishers recently lowered their prices on the PlayStation Network to fit in line with Xbox games.

So are we being scammed? Probably not, but hopefully Microsoft fixes this in the near future.
