Moto G will have Android KitKat out of the box in US

If you’re in the US and feeling a little sore about not getting the Moto G at the same time as us here in the UK, or even in Brazil, then there may be a silver lining – with Android 4.4 KitKat coming preinstalled when the device finally reaches the US and other ‘wave 2’ countries’.

The confirmation that Android 4.4 will be preinstalled comes from Motorola’s SVP Mark Randall, who revealed the information in an interview with Omio. It’s not surprising to see it coming preinstalled, given that the devices aren’t set to launch in the US until 2014, and with the Android 4.4 KitKat update guaranteed by January it’s something we expected to see.
