The event that you probably haven’t been waiting for has finally been announced! May 27th will see LG hold a worldwide press event to reveal something, that something most likely being the LG G3.

But your disdain and apathy, whilst usually absolutely appropriate for overhyped tech industry events, may have been misplaced in this instance. Whilst we can’t say for sure yet, all the rumours up to this point are suggesting that you might actually want to get a little excited for the revelation of the G3. If leaked specs are to be believed, this could be a smartphone to rival the very best out there with a possible  1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, 5.5-inch 2K display (for an obscene 534  PPI). Not only that but it could have a beastly 2.5 GHz processor and 3GB of RAM, along with a 13-megapixel rear camera capable of 1080p video capture.

Of course these specs are strictly unconfirmed as of yet, but we shouldn’t have too long to wait until we find out. May 27th will see the main event take place in London, with similar setups running live and simultaneously in New York and San Francisco. Seoul, Singapore and San Francisco events will follow on May 28th.
