It’s a big week for LG as the G2 launches in the UK, but elsewhere the company isn’t holding back.

Rumours are popping up of a smartphone with flexible, curved screen being in production at the company, which could go on sale in Asia as early as this month. A South Korean site by the name of ZDNet is citing sources within the company is saying that the high-end phone will still come in a fixed shell, meaning the the whole phone itself won’t be able to bend and twist, but the screen will benefit from the tech from a protection point of view. No name on this model right now.

The phone’s curved design will put it in line with LG’s line of TVs, and apparently make it ideal for gaming and viewing as well as holding. There’ll also be the good ol’ quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor to lean back on.

While this handset remains firmly in the rumoured stage of existence, don’t be surprised if its made official soon, given the imminent supposed release.
