Gaming controllers for smartphones aren’t the most fashionable accessory. It adds a hefty bulk to your phone but adds a few more buttons to the sides to help you reach the next level. That said, it’s not an ideal solution.

Nevertheless, it looks like Apple might be having its first official stab at its own gaming accessory. Evleaks has posted a few shots online of the supposed official iPhone game controller, which has been hinted at in various documents and reports throughout this year. Most notably, the controller looks to be similar to one of the two designs that the company depicted in its iOS 7 documentation. It looks to add a set of directional, face and shoulder buttons while leaving space in the back for your phone’s camera.

There’s a nice retro feel to the gaming controller, but it still looks to be pretty bulky and only for the consideration of serious gamers with a hatred of touch screens.
