It’s that time of year again, Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference, and whilst we’re not expecting any iOS hardware, the software is expected to receive a large makeover.

iOS turns 6 tomorrow and according to sources talking to the Wall Street Journal, many at Apple feel the look is outdated, and in need of a big overhaul.

The alleged new design direction has been spearheaded by Jonathan Ive, and is expected to utilise block backgrounds, white space and a much flatter layout.

It seems that those will not be the only updates iOS will get, with the new design only the tip of the iceberg, with sources claiming that there will be “new ways to share photos and videos with other iPhones.”

Both the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal are confident that iRadio is now ready to launch, and we should expect Apple’s music-streaming service to be announced later today when Tim Cook takes the stage. This comes amidst reports that Sony finally inked a deal with Apple on Friday.
