Lock screen bug fixed in iOS 7.0.2 update

There have been a few hiccups to iOS 7’s launch this past week, the most notable of which was a bug that allowed people access to some of the contents of a locked phone. The process involved following a rather specific set of instructions, and once through there were only certain apps that could run through the bug. Still, a security issue is just that, and needs dealing with asap.

Fortunately it hasn’t taken Apple too long to act – the company has released iOS 7.0.2, an update that fixes this particular issue in addition to including a Greek keyboard on the OS (which was the other big problem with the original version, we guess).

iOS 7.0.1 had previously been released, but only contained updates concerning the newest members of the iPhone family, the iPhone 5c and 5s.

Other currently undressed issues with iOS 7 include more isolated cases of battery draining and iTunes crashing. While there are workarounds for these types of issues, we’re hopeful the further updates to the OS are inbound to deal with them more permanently. Bring on iOS 7.0.3.
