Google’s latest feature will let you use Google Now to dictate and send messages through third-party apps, including WhatsApp and Viber.

You could previously use Google Now to dictate and send texts, messages and emails, but this is the first time the feature has opened up to third-party apps.

“Just say, ‘OK Google, send a WhatsApp message to Joe,’ after which you’ll get a prompt asking you to dictate your message,” Google said in a blog post. The message can also be added without waiting for a prompt.

The new feature is compatible with the latest versions of WhatsApp, Viber, WeChat, Telegram and NextPlus. Although the feature is available worldwide, it only understands English. Google said it’s adding more languages in the future, alongside support for more third-party apps.
