Google is launching a Santa Tracker app this month, with daily game and scene updates.

The Android app, which allows users to virtually follow Father Christmas on his journey around the world, will also work with Google’s Chromecast, which means it can be viewed via a TV.

In the run up to Christmas games will include catapulting presents and racing reindeer, and users will see the elves make a little more progress in packing presents each day.

On December 24, users will be able to see where Father Christmas is, the number of presents he has delivered and what he’s thinking throughout the evening.

The news follows NORAD’s – the company which usually partners with Google on its Santa Tracker – announcement that it will work wit Microsoft this year instead.
