Having previously announced upcoming partnerships with Ray-ban and Oakley for its Google Glass device, Google has now unveiled its new line of electronic frames designed by high-end fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg.

As more and more wearables make it on to consumer fashion websites, Google is following suit by making its ‘DVF | Made for Glass collection’ available to buy from Net-a-Porter alongside its own Google Glass site from 23 June.

The new collection includes five new frames and eight new shades designed by von Furstenberg.

The Belgium-born designer previously used Google’s device in a catwalk runway show in New York last year.

Having appointed experienced fashion industry marketer Ivy Ross as its new head of Glass and having opened the device for retail to the general public last month, Google is obviously making a push to make its electronic frames appeal to the general consumer.

If only it would reduce that $1,500 price tag!
