Firefox Phone not branching out of developing nations (for now)

Firefox, the popular web browser, has its own phone. Did you know that? No? Well that’s because the Firefox phone hasn’t released anywhere other than developing nations, and it probably never will.

The company has admitted that it’s not planning to distribute the device outside of its current market. That means we’re not likely to see it in the US or the UK. The Mozilla phone, as it’s known, runs its own Firefox OS, making it an alternative to iOS and Android, which has largely ignored the areas that phone is available in.

It would have been nice to have a fourth horse in this OS race, alas it’s likely never to happen. Firefox phone has a nice right to it.
