When news dropped that Cortana was jumping ship to Android, a lot of Microsoft fans cried themselves to sleep. Well, now it has a release date.

Microsofts unique personal assistant will officially launch on Android this July, making the release far closer than we initially anticipated.

The company has also announced that the app will synchronise fully with your Xbox One device, giving reminders for anything you’ve told Cortana to remember. An iOS app is due sometime in the future but the release date for this has yet to be confirmed.

Now there’s no excuse for getting carried away in Star Wars: Battlefront and missing an important doctors appointment.
