Carphone Warehouse, the UK’s largest independent mobile phone retailer today announces it is the exclusive in-store retailer for the new Ocean75 – the first phone case made almost entirely from recycled plastic found in the oceans.

The phone cases are compatible with the new iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max and come in four colours. They are 90% made from old discarded plastic fishing nets, found in the seas around the UK and Europe which are then recycled in the UK and turned into phone cases.

The Deep Black variant is available across all Carphone Warehouse stores nationwide, with the Coral Pink, Dolphin Grey and Ocean Blue available in the 302 Carphone Warehouse concessions located in the 3-in-1 Currys PC World stores. The products are priced at £24.99 and for every case sold, Carphone Warehouse will donate £1 to an ocean conservation charity selected by the customer*.

The packaging is also made from 100% recycled plastic, so customers can enjoy the amazing technology on offer with the peace of mind they are minimising their impact on the environment. What’s more, customers can recycle these phone cases in most standard household recycling or return them to Ocean75 who will recycle them into new cases, so waste is limited.

Mobiles Category Director at Carphone Warehouse, Russell Parr, comments: “We are excited to be the exclusive in-store retail partner for this range of responsible phone cases. We are all becoming ever more conscious of the issue of plastic pollution and the need to reduce our carbon footprints and this new phone case is a positive step towards a more sustainable future – and here at Carphone Warehouse we look forward to taking many more.”
