The series features Huawei’s own HMS operating system

Huawei’s latest flagship P40 series is now available to buy in the UK, with the series 5G compatible.

The vendor announced the series a couple of weeks back, and introduced three new smartphones in the process – Huawei P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro+.

It is also the second series after the Mate 30, that Huawei has released since the Google ban, and runs on Huawei’s on Huawei Mobile Services (HMS).

Customers will be able to get the P40 Pro (8GB RAM and 256GB storage) from £899 in either silver or black from Carphone Warehouse, Three, Virgin Mobile and also direct from Huawei.

While the P40 is available in silver from Carphone Warehouse for £699 and black from Virgin Mobile and selected retailers for the same price.

The P40 Pro+ will be available later this summer, with all three phones in the series powered by Kirin 990 5G chipset, meaning all three are 5G ready.

Huawei has again focused heavily on the camera technology in the range, with the P40 equipped with a triple-camera, the P40 Pro having a quad-camera and the P40 Pro+ using five cameras.
