4G and the touchscreen-enabled phone comes in under £100

Rugged device manufacturer AGM has launched its latest feature phone, the M5, in the UK.

The M5 has 4G connectivity, is touchscreen-enabled, and comes with WhatsApp, Facebook and Skype pre-installed. It is IP68 dust and waterproof and is MIL-STD-810G shockproof.

The manufacturer, which claims to be the number one rugged brand in China, has designed the phone with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM powered by a Qualcomm 210 processor, as well as a 2,500mAh removable battery.

The M5 also supports a microSD card and dual nano-SIM card. It uses a USB-C charging port for faster charging, and additionally comes with an FM antenna and LED torch. It also has front and rear cameras, although AGM has not revealed the specs for them.

It is available through AGM’s UK website for £89.99 and through its distribution partner Data Select.

AGM Mobile Europe CEO Robert Pryke said: “Our new AGM M5 is the perfect combination of both feature phone ease of use and smartphone functionality. The size makes it easy to handle and an ideal companion for those not needing the full range of smartphone applications.”
