Good sound, great price 3.5/5

While Belkin is a company most associated with portable chargers, they do often release headphones too.

The company have clearly released the True Wireless Earbuds aimed at consumers looking for a cost-saving alternative to the ridiculously expensive earbuds on the market from the bigger brands.

  • Intuitive touch controls
  • Up to 5 hours of non-stop playtime
  • IPX5-rated sweat- and splash-resistant
  • 2-years warranty

  • Product in case: 50g
  • Case only: 43g
  • Buds only: 10g

Unboxing and use

The box contains the earbuds, a charging case, a micro-USB cable and three pairs of silicone ear tips.

On first impression, the earbuds feel comfortable and secure in my ear. I felt comfortable going for a run or skipping with my headphones in and this is a level of comfort I don’t feel I have while using my AirPods on while taking part in those kinds of activities.

The Belkin earbuds feature a built-in microphone and intuitive touch controls on the earphones are a welcome addition but don’t work as well as I expected them to, unfortunately.

While at the gym, I’d remove an earphone and find that the song I was listening to would increase the volume significantly. While this isn’t a major concern, the controls are a bit too sensitive for my liking.

Despite that, the audio is great for the price. I didn’t expect buds that retail for under £40 on Amazon to sound as good as my AirPods but the noise cancelling it offers is very impressive.

The earphones feature an IPX5 splash and sweat resistance rating and provide up to five hours of playtime. The charging case allows for an additional 24 hours and overall the battery life on the buds is great considering the price.

The earbuds are available in either white or black from Amazon for £34.99.
