Publisher 2K has partnered with WWE to release a new card battling mobile game available for free on iOS and Android as of now.

WWE Supercards gives players the ability to build teams of WWE Superstars Divas and Legends and battle them against other player s online in order to collect more cards.

WWE Supercards contains more than 400 cards with a total of seven different rarity levels. Players can also purchase individual card packs from within the game.

2K studio Daddy Cat says that the game will benefit from ongoing updates, which will also see the roster lineup refreshed regularly.

Players will be able to split they’re cards into tag teams or parties of five, which can then be used against other players online in head-to-head battles. Entire seasons will be available for gamers to play through, with the game rewarding “high levels of participation” with higher rankings and bigger rewards.

WWE’s entry in to the table-top card game genre comes in the wake of Blizzard’s Hearthstone, a wildly popular game that has influenced other developers to jump on the bandwagon.

2K is also currently prepping the release of WWE 2K15, which is due out on 28 October. Check out a trailer for WWE Supercards below:
