Well this is exciting. We were already looking forward with great anticipation to the next 18 months, and the bonanza of Halo-related treats that await. Not only will the first true current-gen title in the series, Halo 5: Guardians, arrive, but we’re also set to receive a TV series set in the Halo universe produced by none other than the legendary Steven Spielberg.

On top of that there’s also Halo: The Master Chief Collection, set to land in November. Xbox One gamers will be able to play through the original Halo: Combat Evolved, a remastered version of Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4. But there’s something else packaged within this collection too.

Halo: Nightfall is another live action feature, directed by another wildly successful Hollywood figure in Ridley Scott. It’s set to bridge the gap in story between the end of Halo 4 and the beginning of Halo 5. We’ll also be introduced to a major character set to take up a prominent role in Halo 5.

Sound good? You’re damn right it does. So how about a very first look at Halo: Nightfall? Head back up to the top of the page and click the video to watch the first teaser-trailer released for the series. Ordinarily we might be a little sceptical about projects like this, but this isn’t Uwe Boll  we’re talking about here – Ridley Scott is the man who brought Bladerunner and Alien to life. We reckon it’s in safe hands.
