Vizio unveils more affordable 4K TVs at CES

This CES has had a clear theme – 4K is coming. But there’s still the obvious barrier of price. 4K TV sets aren’t going to be in many people’s price range any time soon, unless you shop with Vizio.

The company has announced the P-series at the show in Vegas. It’s a series of Ultra HD TVs with costs well below what you’d expect of the tech in this early stage. It’s 50-inch set runs for $999.99. Sure that’s a lot, but still well below competitors.

Moving up the list, there are 55, 60, 65 and 70-inch sets priced at $1399.99, $1799.99, $2199.99 and $2599.99 respectively.

Sadly Vizio TVs don’t have much of a presence in the UK, so we doubt we’ll see these sets over here. Still, it’s encouraging to see prices this low at the start of the 4K push.
