Virgin Media has revamped its line-up of handsets available on its £8.50 pay-monthly tariff.

The latest collection of handsets available are:

  • Nokia X2: with a 2GB memory card, 5-megapixel camera and Facebook app.
  • Nokia 5230 Chrome: touchscreen with GPS, pre-loaded with Ovi Maps.
  • Nokia 6700 Slide: 3G phone with Ovi Store, and available in silver or pink from November.
  • Samsung Monte: with dedicated social networking widgets, in pink or black.
  • Samsung Tocco: Brought back for a limited time, with a 5-megapixel camera and a number of quality camera features like face detection.

The £8.50 tariff (subject to a 24-month contract) includes 100 minutes of calls and 100 texts per month, with the option of accessing the Internet for just 30p per day.

Virgin Media customers with home entertainment services can benefit from unlimited calls to other Virgin mobile phones, as well as free calls to their mobile from home, while students with an NUS Extra Card can also get a further 15% discount if taking any of the above phones on a £10, or higher, monthly tariff.
