UFC has announced UFC 200 4K, the first ever live event in North America to be broadcast in full UHD resolution.

Here in the UK, we’ve been enjoying 4K sports for quite some time via services such as BT Sport but this will be the first time that Americans can get in on the action.

UFC 200 takes place July 9th at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena. The main card will air on pay-per-view following pre-shows on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

UFC 200 4k: streaming or live

UFC 200 is expected to be a pretty popular sports event, with Brock Lesnar returning from the WWE to fight in a one-off match against opponent Mark Hunt. Those who wish to watch the action in 4K have two methods of watching the service, either via PPV on their television or via the UFC Android application. You’ll need a Sony Smart Ultra HD TV, but we also can’t see why it wouldn’t be possible on the Xperia Z5 Premium, which also has a 4K panel.

While the event will mark a pretty pivotal shift to 4k content in the United States, we still have some advice. If you’re streaming UFC 200 4K, you’ll need a blazing internet connection. Don’t even think about using mobile data.
