The latest version of Google’s Android app rolled out last week, but some Android users are now seeing the Trusted Voice unlock feature.

The Trusted Voice unlock feature allows users to unlock their device when it recognises them saying “OK Google.” It’s been added alongside Trusted Face – a facial recognition feature -, pattern and PIN as one of several phone unlocking options.

Trusted Voice security

Should you pick Trusted Voice as your preferred unlock method, you’ll be warned that, like Trusted Face, the feature isn’t secure as using a swipe pattern or PIN to unlock your phone.

Only some Android users can currently access Trusted Voice, but it should be available on all devices very soon.
