Three new GO LIVE devices have been announced today; GO 550 LIVE, GO 750 LIVE and the flagship GO 950 LIVE. All three feature TomTom’s IQ Routes technology, HD traffic and a new user interface that now offers a LIVE Snapshot route summary, showing delays and other important information about a planned route.

LIVE services, provided by an integrated SIM card, continue to be offered for a fixed £7.99 monthly fee. LIVE services include access to weather forecasts, petrol pricing and realtime searching for Points of Interest using Google.

Another new feature is a new frequent destination menu, plus the addition of Eco Routes to enable drivers to select the most fuel-efficient route.

The GO range also includes Bluetooth, allowing hands-free communication with a mobile phone and file transfers (for music and images to listen and view on the GO unit). Calls can be made and received, while text messages are read aloud using the same text-to-speech technology used for the turn-by-turn instructions.

The GO 950 LIVE comes with maps for the US, Canada and 45 countries including UK & Europe. The 950 also supports EPT (Enhanced Positioning Technology) for improved accuracy in tunnels and areas of poor GPS coverage.

The GO 750 LIVE comes with maps of 45 countries in Europe, while the entry-level GO 550 LIVE has maps of the UK and Ireland.

Pricing information is still to be confirmed.
