Three Feel At Home commences EU invasion

Three Feel At Home has stretched out further in Europe adding 24 more territories to the 18 already available, ringing up a grand total of 42 territories.

Roaming charges were absolutely criminal with all of us having read a horror story or two about a huge bill afflicted on some poor individual. Schemes like Feel At Home and Tesco’s Home From Home are most welcomed, but they will be a thing of the past when roaming charges are abolished in 2017. But charges were reduced by at least 50% due to a ruling by the European Commission.

If you’re unlucky enough to have joined a network with no progressive roaming plan, worry not as charges are significantly cheaper:

  • £0.05 per minute for an outgoing phone call
  • £0.05 per minute for an incoming phone call
  • £0.02 per minute for a text sent
  • £0.05 per MB of data

This time around popular destinations such as Germany and Greece have now been finally included. According to Three it will now cover 80% of trips made by its customers.

Three Feel At Home updates list

The useful roaming scheme allows Three customers to use minutes, texts and mobile data in the following new countries:

Belgium, Bulgaria, Channel Islands (Jersey & Guernsey), Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Isle of Man, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia and Slovakia.

Bear in mind these territories will not be active on the Three network until September (a set date has not been specified yet). So for now if you’re planning a holiday, the following countries are currently on the Feel At Home list:

Australia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Macau, New Zealand, Norway, Republic of Ireland, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, United States.

The UK network boasts the most amount of territories covered in a roaming scheme, in the UK.
