Tesco has announced that it sold 400,000 units of its Hudl tablet in 2013.

The Hudl is a £119, 7-inch slate designed for family use. It runs Android Jelly Bean, complete with a rear-facing camera It released at the end of last September, meaning it’s shifted over 100,000 tablets a month since launch.

We’re expecting an update of the Hudl later on in the year, though don’t expect this affordable slate to ever push hardware boundaries.
