Sony sending out invites for supposed PS Vita Slim reveal

It looks like Sony could be bringing its PS Vita Slim to Europe and North America.

The company has today sent out invites to outlets such as IGN to a reveal event. The invite reads: “Following the biggest launch in PlayStation history, join us for an introduction to the slimmest.”

Not hard to guess, is it? The invite is set for January 30th, so we’ll know for sure next Thursday.

The Vita Slim came to Japan last year. It sacrificed the originals OLED display for a simple LED one. In exchange it shed some weight and improved its battery life, all for a lower price.

Would you buy a cheaper PS Vita even without the OLED?
