The C510 has been talked about on the web for months, but it’s finally here – or almost. Announced at the CES in Las Vegas, the latest Cyber-shot is a slimline cameraphone that sits below the C902 and C905 models.
It has a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera with a twin LED flash. It also introduces some new software features, including ‘Smile Shutter’ (a fancy trademark name for pretty common smile-detection feature that triggers the shutter as soon as a person smiles), and a new SMS conversation style for threaded text (or MMS) messaging.
The C510 also has an integrated YouTube client, so you can download and upload videos with ease, an integrated accelerometer to automatically rotate your photos or the web browser from portrait to landscape, QVGA resolution display and is a 3G handset with HSPA support.
The handset will be available before the end of March 2009, at a mid-range price point.
