Shazam introduces Shazam LyricPlay

Shazam has acquired synchronised lyric technology from Tunezee to launch a new service called Shazam LyricPlay for its Encore premium app.

Shazam LyricPlay automatically syncs lyrics with a music source, so you can see them in real-time. The interactive experience can show the lyrics in a number of entertaining ways when the phone is put in landscape mode, from scrolling, jumping, popping or sliding.

The company has also built a database of lyrics to launch the new feature with a comprehensive library of more than 25,000 of the most popular songs tagged by the Shazam service.
