Samsung ships three million Galaxy S II’s in two months

Samsung must be rather happy to be able to announce it has sold three million Galaxy S II smartphones since it began shipping two months ago.

It’s important to point out that these are units sold to the channel, i.e. the trade, and doesn’t reflect actual sales to the end user – but it clearly shows huge interest in the mobile industry for this high-end smartphone monster.

Perhaps that’s not surprising given the ultra-bright Super AM-OLED Plus screen, a screaming performance from the dual-core processor and excellent HD video recording and playback capabilities. The Samsung Galaxy S II is also the thinnest Android smartphone currently on sale.
