Samsung lowering ad budget after lowered quarterly profits

Samsung has released its quartely results and there’s a slight issue. While the company’s performance on the whole was excellent, profits for the fourth quarter were down for the first time in two years.

As a result the company will lower its advertising budget in the future. Senior Vice President Kim Hyunjoon said as much during a conference call after the report.

The company hopes to achieve more with efficient marketing methods in the future. That might include the likes of Winter Olympics partnerships. Y’know, like that Galaxy Note 3?
