Samsung is running a competition to find the best application idea for its latest Android powered handset, the Galaxy Portal.

Ideas can be submitted via the website and once the panel of judges have chosen a short list of five, it will be put out to a public vote to find the overall winner.

The idea that wins will be made a reality and be released as a free download on Android Market, with the winner also receiving a cash prize of £2,000.

The Gadget Show TV presenter Suzi Perry and digital agency Marvellous CEO Jon Carney will judge the entries.
