Samsung giving out free Gear VR headsets for Father’s Day

Samsung is currently running a promotion over in the United States where people can grab a free Gear VR headset if they pre-order a Galaxy handset.

The deal will run until June 19th and is pretty simple. Samsung will include a free Gear VR with the purchase of any of the following handsets: Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5. The headset will also come bundled with six games from the Oculus store, just for good measure.

The only catch is that you’ll need to buy your new Galaxy handset on a two-year contract, locking you in for that period. If you want to take advantage of the offer, head to the Samsung Promotions Website and enter your details, plus the IMEI, WI-FI and MAC address of your newly purchased handset for verification purposes.

Samsung did a similar deal to this back in February, where they bundled a free Gear VR along with anyone who pre-ordered the Galaxy S7 before release.
