Even though the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge aren’t far from launch, Samsung hasn’t held back with details about the Samsung Galaxy S7, its next flagship smartphone.
The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge have both received heaps of praise, and Samsung expects to make massive sales with the Galaxy S7.
According to South Korean news website ETNEWS, this expectation is leading to an expansion of the Samsung Display division to meet the demand.
An unnamed source told ETNews that Samsung has requested 8 million flexible panels a month for the Galaxy S7.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 isn’t the only Samsung device that’s getting a curved screen. ETNews claims that the Galaxy Note 5 will also come with a flexible OLED edge display.
The OLED edge display has several advantages over conventional LCD displays; including superior picture quality and overall thinness.
