Images of a new Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Edition have shown up online today, courtesy of resident leaker Evan Blass.

The @evleaks Twitter personality showed off what appears to be a press render of the new handset variant. There’s been plenty of rumours surrounding a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Edition in recent months, with early leaks surfacing several months ago. However, this is the first time that we’ve got actual images of the handset itself.

It comes in an all-black finish with gold trimmings around the home button and top speaker. On the rear, Samsung has used the company’s signature blue hue to add trim around the camera sensor components, while also adding the Olympic logo on the bottom. The side buttons are finished off in contrasting green and red colours, making this a subtly colourful handset.

Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Edition will be a cosmetic update only

In terms of hardware, it’s likely to be the same Samsung Galaxy S7 edge we all know and love. The change will be purely cosmetic, much like what we saw with the recent Batman variant. This means 4GB RAM and a powerful Exynos 8890 processor.

No word on when it will release, but expect Samsung to reveal it very soon now that official images are in the wild.
