Samsung Galaxy J series appears online

We’ve already heard about the Galaxy A series handsets but it seems Samsung is also gearing up for the launch of it’s new J series devices too.

The company last updated the range back in June 2015 and with Mobile World Congress just around the corner, it looks like they could be preparing for an announcement at the event. Both the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 have just popped up on the Bluetooth SIG website, with specs for the J5 recently showing up on GFXBench.

What we know so far is that the J5 will include a 5.2-inch 1280 x 720 panel, a little bigger than the current model. It will also bump up the RAM to 2GB and carry over the same Snapdragon 410 used in the previous gen version. A 13 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front camera are also expected to be included.

The J7 is its bigger brother and as such, will have slightly beefier specs in comparison. The device will likely opt for a 5.5 or 5.7-inch panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, while the RAM could be getting bumped up to 3GB. There’s also talk of a huge 4,300mAh battery and the new Exynos 7870 which should elevate this handset to very capable levels. Android 6.0 will likely be on board for both handsets.
