Pinterest has finally launched its official app for devices running Windows Phone 8 and higher.

The app, which is still in beta and comes with slightly less features than its iOS and Android counterparts, will still allow Windows Phone users to do the main Pinterest tasks of pinning, sharing and planning events.

The app also boasts a similar UI with the grid layout. The Windows Phone version of the app, however, lacks the advanced functions – such as a guided search and notifications menu – found on Pinterest for iOS and Android.

It is likely these tools will make it on to the Windows Phone version over time, as Pinterest claims that it plans to incorporate user feedback in order to make the app more powerful.

The popular scrapbooking social network announced in April that its has some 30 billion pins and    hosts 750 million boards curated by users and brands.

You can download the Pinterest app from the Windows Phone Store.
